2006 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Zermatt Silver
CarPc for an 2006 supercharged

hi guys

How much of a task is doing this and what sort of cost would be involved i would want to keep the current functionality.

This would be
Bluetooth
RSE
All range rover computer 4x4 settings etc etc
TV tuner

Mainly would like to add to the system then take away ideally better Nav and Divx compatibility, Internet etc

Thanks

Mark Supercharged LPG!!

At the risk of sounding rude how would you use a CarPc if you can't use a search button? 2008 MY Supercharged

hi, hold on thats a bit harsh, he is a newbee, we all like to ask questions even members that have been on here for a long time...
any way its not that hard, there are quite a few links on you tube showing it working but its all down to a good micro pc with a video out, i think you can output the signal through the rear camera or aux, take a look at matt 2010 car pc.. thats the nuts V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Hi Mark

Check this link out, http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic5106.html this is my carpc project for my range rover - my carpc project and associated software is currently designed for the BMW ibus era vehicles, because your car already has the touch screen system it wont work exactly the same but you get the idea of the system, check out www.carcomputer.co.uk for pc ideas.

Matt

1st of all you would need a GVIF module

2nd, check this thread out at the sister forum

http://disco3.co.uk/forum/topic21001.html

The housings of the FFRR are different from the Disco3/RRS, but the electronics, from what I understand are the same! If you don't want to go on with soldering, you could do what a friend of mine has done on his RRS, and has put a touchscreen glass over the screen of the SatNav! You can still use all the OEM functions of the SatNav as one glass presses on the other! He has no problems whatsoever! 2000 BMW M5, Avus Blue/LeMans Leather Interior

Are you sure it's glass and not a foil touch screen overlay? I really can't imagine glass working...
