2004 Range Rover 4.4 petrol/lpg coolant leak - help needed

Hi guys I have got a coolant leak on my 2004 Range Rover 4.4 petrol/lpg, it's coming from one of the pipes at the back of the engine. I found the leak by removing the cabin filter scuttle and viewing from above.

The problem is I don't have any idea what this part that is leaking is or how it connects up? Does anyone know what this part shown in the pictures is and how I go about replacing it? At the moment as soon as the engine gets warm the coolant starts dripping out of the bottom of this section.

I have attached photos showing the leaking part. Thanks in advance for any advice.

That's the coolant manifold to heater matrix return hose adaptor.

Suggest you replace the hoses too.

Part number JHC000081. Cost £7.31 back in 2013 from a main dealer... the parts man at the time said it has a lifespan of around 10 years on average.

Hi thanks for the advice guys, yes that's the part that's leaking. Glad to see it's inexpensive. @steptoe what was the procedure to change it? I'm guessing it's just 2 connections to remove and then put the new one on and top up coolant and bleed? What are the connections used? 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 v8 LPG, Java Black, 22' Hawke Alloys, Black Beast

It’s a simple push fit connection. Then top up and bleed cooling system.

Hi just to give closure to this thread I got the part and it was a pretty easy fix in the end. The leak has now stopped and the old girl is back on the road. Thanks a lot steptoe and vs322 for your invaluable advice 👍🏼 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 v8 LPG, Java Black, 22' Hawke Alloys, Black Beast
