It’s getting daft, 2000 miles and 6 months down the line the trade in valuation on LR has increased for mine by £3000. Was £38000, now £41000 which is what I paid for it pretty much 18 months ago. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Got an e-mail from the local Dealer (Guy Salmon) on Friday stating 'LOOKING TO PART EXCHANGE FOR A NEW LAND ROVER? WE’LL GIVE YOU THE BEST PART EXCHANGE PRICE FOR YOUR CAR PLUS AN ENHANCED INCENTIVE TO BUY NEW'

I'll probably get a quote, but they are going to have to go some to beat Motorway. Let the bidding war commence! Laughing SDV8 AB MY 2019

Finally got offered a price from Motorway, that was too good to ignore, so RR now gone. Car went to Hatfields Land Rover Pickering. Not too much drama with the collection, the bloke inspected it and ensured I received payment before driving off. I have an interim car (Jaguar XF Supercharged) whilst the Macan is being built, but I expect the build date to slip to late 2022, so I will probably be looking into the possibility of an L460 (chip shortages notwithstanding!) in the future.

Hopefully OK to remain 'lurking' here for a while longer Laughing SDV8 AB MY 2019

Don't tell anyone but I have a Macan GTS on order.......but you are 100% right, moving from the FF scares me, as will the 0-60mph time of 4.1 seconds for the 3rd gen Macan

That won't scare you, my wife's Golf has similar performance, but the fuel consumption might. I have a friend who went from an M4 competition to a Turbo (so same engine/tune as the latest GTS) and was shocked when he struggled to get 20mpg even on a run.

But if you only do a couple of thousand miles a year it will be fine and it's a lovely car. MY19 SDV8 Autobiography

my dilemma has been sorted ....i'm keeping it.

got a valuation from landrover, motorway and carwow and although they were ok i didnt think the offers were enough...
that said, i couldnt find anything i would have been happy with in the interim of selling the FF and then getting another one....

although it would be nice to have some more money in the bank , it wouldnt be doing much there .. ... - .- -.

I am used to fantastic fuel consumption having owned an L322 5.0 S/C previously Laughing I am 10th in the queue out of 30 for the GTS, but the build dates just keep moving right. That said, the Jaguar XF S/C is an amazing drive, I am one very happy chappie. I put the deposit down a week ago on Saturday and the garage has had 36 enquiries since, so I consider myself lucky and the performance is only a second (0-60 mph) behind the GTS and the switchgear all so familiar being JLR. The Range is gone, but certainly not forgotten and I am sure I'll be back (thanks Arnie!) Very Happy SDV8 AB MY 2019

The XF is a great car. We’ve got a 2014 XFR that we’ve looked at changing a few times but for what it’s worth there’s nothing out there I’d fancy replacing it with. Whilst it’s doing 2.5k a year it’s not worth spending more then double what the XFR is worth to change it either. Smile 1997 4.6 HSE - Oxford Blue with Ash Grey Leather

Understand that completely. Keep the XFR! I am bowled over by the XFS, what a driving machine. I have driven Merc's, BMW's and unfortunately Audi's in the past and this car is so much more a drivers car Very Happy SDV8 AB MY 2019

Yep, I definitely am and it still has the grin factor when having a more "spirited" drive, ahem Whistle

With my son starting a 12 month work placement in Bristol recently and moving into a flat there I've had a few trips down the M4 and, even after 7 or 8 hours driving in a day, it's just so comfortable. Hopefully some longer trips over the coming months as wife and I have given up the corporate rat race. Very Happy 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

Thanks Stan.
Not complete retirement just yet as still running my smart home automation business, but was fed up working for someone else as well.
Found myself swearing a lot and using the word "muppet" regularly so packed it in.
My stress levels have dropped through the floor and now I do what I want, when I want.
Best decision I've made in years (apart from the FFRR of course) Laughing 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography
