5.0 Pulley Noise

Went to a customer vehicle today. 50k '13 5.0 for some electrical work.

Also asked me my opinion on an engine noise.
There is a distinct rattle/grind from drive belt area. Sounds like a dry/ worn bearing.
Is there any common failures on these?

Apparently he left it running for 8 hours to charge after battery went flat.

Nose or snout-bearing fail often... Just replaced wifeys last week and when the belt was off you could turn the wheel 1/4 turn of freeplay!!! Replaced it and with the new one fitted there is zero freeplay and no more annoying noise! Thumbs Up

That was my original thought. Noise sounded in that area.
Main dealer only part?

I’m unsure if it’s main dealer part only? We only ever deal in Gen parts so would not have looked elsewhere…
