Old one had badly seized onto the hinge/bracket, to the point I had to apply heat and gentle persuasion with a hammer. I cleaned both brackets up before fitted new motor and noticed two hairline cracks on the pivoting part of the bracket. Thinking it would be fine, I fitted the new motor and reassembled everything back onto the car. Step now working… for two minutes then the hinge gave way. Now had at order a new front hinge from Maltings at the eye water cost of £225. Ouch   | ||

Fingers cross nothing else unexpected pops up and I can actually get round to sorting the other things that need doing.

 Just seen your in America, part numbers I have listed are for passenger side ( left side ) in the UK. Right hand side part numbers would be, Motor : lr004808 Front Bracket : lr004810 | ||

 Not sure, maybe a one off but going to make sure to give them a dose of ACF50 and lube the pivot points with Wurth HHS2000 every couple of months just to be sure. | ||
