Hi folks

As I was looking long times for a new set of wood trims for my RR I came to this idea:

use 3M di-noc wood vinyl!! the fine wood series looks great. It looks like real wood..

I dont even know if land rover uses real wood or something like the 3m vinyl stuff..


My interrior now looks like this:


(I dont want to ruin my black piano trims,so I will buy all the trimparts in the foundry grey and cover them)

now,the big question is what colour to choose:

The black interior looks really nice with the cherry interior, you could buy the cherry trim and save yourself the effort of doing the vinyl Discovery 4 HSE

buying a cherry interrior is quite expensive if I buy directly from LR.

and I cant use trim parts from the UK.. we sit on the other side of the car over here

do you have a picture from cherry wood and black leather?

a friend of mine has sand interrior and cherry. (I really love the sand color,but when you buy a used SC most of them have black leather)

If you're doing the Vinyl Wrap then be sure to do 2 or 3 coats of lacquer over the top, this is how the pro's do it and it really finishes it off well. It also protects it from scraping, lifting or fading.

I looked into this for my door handles until finding the bargain ones on eBay.

I think the black laquer doesnt lookt bad.... BUT! I prefer to have some wood in a range rover.. because it is a range rover
I will get a carbon vinyl foil (already ordred a test part) to try the 3m di-noc system. Of course,I could do the trim parts in carbon.. But I dont think carbon fits a Range Rover.


Just bought a 2010 steering wheel.. I want to do some upgrades,even if it is a 06 car.. With a little bit of work it is better than some actual cars..

Could also try getting wood trim from the good old US of A (ebay). Not that I've looked that much at prices etc

I did try and searched a lot on ebay.com

but never found anything. And do the vinyl wrap has the big advantage that I can choose the wood I want..
