United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Mariana Black
Fuel level reading disappeared.

Over the weekend I had the back seats folded down and the boot fully loaded going to the skip. All of a sudden the fuel level gauge starts reading 0 and the range went to 3 dashes —-. Don’t know if I have nicked a wire for the level readings?? I checked the fuse in the centre fuse box and all ok with it. Anyone any ideas why it would suddenly go to 0?

IIRC the sender / level connectors are under the back seat squabs which are easy enough to remove. Might be worth checking of you have loaded heavy out over tank. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Mine did that once for no apparent reason - thought "someone's nicked my diesel" (was about 1/2 full) so I put my spare 10L in & went to refill, put around £50 in & on restarting the gauge went up to 3/4.

Maybe worth a top up ?
