Flying cars….

How close do you think we are getting to flying cars? Would you consider one?

So Daimler and others are investing in flying car development, but would you be interested in such a proposition? I appreciate some are little more than glorified drones, but others like the black fly (yes I know!) look quite interesting. I’m no aeronautical engineer and appreciate getting a license, and the health and safety aspects could be a massive hurdle….but it does feel the direction of travel!

wouldnt fancy having an 'engine off' or propulsion problem on this. Wonder what the glide capability is?

I like the idea of one….however if I had a choice between a JLR and a Toyota flying car…… it’s a very different prospect in the air!!

All the need to do is combine it with a hydrogen fuel cell… I give you the JLR R.101 and Hindenburg special editions Confused

There were several on the Guangdong autoshow. One looked like a twoseater drone.

If you see the technology in even toy-drones, it would surely be possible to build a full size.

Problem is not the 'no power' problem, but more the 'bird-hit-impeller' since then you start tumbling !

If the power is out, they could land with a parachute, possibly inflated like an airbag from an

overhead crashbar, cage principal, like in a rally car.

Low altitude crash : airbags under the frame wint radar like actuators. I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black
