Seat refurb 4.4 heated/cooled seats .

Anyone done it , heated part not working (base and back ) so to fix base seat will need stripping , cushioning getting tired and usual outside edge beginning to look shabby , just wondering what's involved and can you get new leather to match ?

Its highly likely the seat back unit has failed causing the entire seat to stop working.
(we sell repair kits)

You can remove the unit for the base under the seat.
To get to the seat back unit you need to remove the plastic section at the back of the seat.

I’d be very interested in this repair kit. My seat back doesn’t blow air (drivers side). I started following the powerful video and lifted up the lower leather centre section however I have additional pieces. That mould around the side.

One question, to replace the broken air duct can it be done from the back of the seat? Current

You will need to undo the 4 bolts that hold the seat down, Which makes it easier to remove the side covers, the seatback is pushed down after releasing the sides off the spline left/right.
That gets you to the heating-cooling unit.
it may not be a broken duct it could be the peiter unit that's gone, both of mine had gone with no broken ducts?
My advice is to replace the complete unit to save you from going back in again?

Easy peasy to take the seat out of the car HOWEVER!!! Be careful NOT to scratch plastics or paintwork when lifting it out of the car... The drivers side seat is much easier to remove if you also remove the steering wheel... Thumbs Up

If one peltier motor is compromised (even with an air leak) the whole seat will shut down... Thumbs Up
