Gap IID - list of mods/hacks

I've searched the site and wiki but can't find anything related..

.. Do we have a list of simple hacks/mods/upgrades/changes that can be done with the Gap tool? Thinking of things like enabling the DRL (fairy lights), digital speed read out, etc etc? 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'
2000 4.0 P38 HSE - 'Green Goblin' - Gone.

2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

If you look on the GAP support pages, it lists what can be done for each model of car. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

the GAP site has a drop down menu where you enter your year and it shows what car configurations can be done.. ... - .- -.

Yep, I've seen that but for the average Joe wanting to activate DRL, for example, there's no clear way or info on doing that - know what I mean? 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'

I agree with you Martin, there is no enough information. Just a list of what can be done is not that useful when it doesn't list what combination it requires.

Take auto headlights, why would that need to be set to North America. I'd never have guessed that one.

Or DRL you need to set to Scandinavia.

Little snippets, and there are many more, are very useful.

I used my IDTool to change DRLs often with no problem although a bit of trial and error and as others on here will testify I'm not the brightest light in the sky - pun intended.

And there are things, like getting the rears to be DRL, that the car doesn't support. Geoff

there is adaque info on the GAP site and the forum ...

most here have 'played' with the idtool and have reconfigured their FF's ccf be it by trail and error or by reading threads/posts..

our search function will show most configs... ... - .- -.

Surely it would be great to have them together?? I don’t agree at all that the GAP website has adequate information, it is nothing more than a list of possible setting with no explanation of what they do in what combination. Using trial and error can disable features that were working before.

But hey no, it’s your site so your choice if you don’t want it.

That was my thinking.

I'm just searching here and other places for changes and collating a list myself to make things easier.

Just eabled DRL on mine and must admit, the ignition coming on and going off and then the plethora of error messages is somewhat worrying until you realise it's all fine afterwards.

Did notice, however, that the windows needed reset afterwards as well as the clock/date. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'
