My first service experience last year was with LR Bedford and it was OK, so tried to book with them this year and it was through a central booking service which was a really poor experience. Firstly they said they couldn't book it in because it was under 12 months since it had been serviced....then when I challenged that and they booked it in I got a call an hour later saying I couldn't have a waiting appointment due to COVID rules..... The new dealership in Northampton said the same, but Jardines MK were really helpful

Excellent first impression. You drive up to a door at the side of the building, it opens and you pull into a ‘tunnel’ that runs the full length of the building. One of the service team comes to the drivers window, greats you by name, books you in on a tablet, then escorts you through the service reception area. Welcomed by name again, the advisor checks they’ve got the work required listed correctly, explain what’s going to be done, any questions etc. Then offered me a decent workspace and a coffee and biscuit.

Work completed in 2 hours including service, MOT and replacement of 'Engine mounted vacuum pump' which had a slight leak apparently which they found when competing the service. Paid the bill (£636 inc MOT) and was escorted back to the car in the 'tunnel'.

Overall a really good experience. I felt like a valued customer even though I didn't buy the car from them and it was my first visit, so that's where I'll be going for the next service. Right up there with Porsche for giving me a positive feeling. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

seems these auto door tunnel reception areas are common now with JLR sites..the one in swindon sounds identical to the MK one.. ... - .- -.
