Nice one mate. Mine is three quarters of its way through a refresh / refurb and I did not think it was possible to have spent as much as I have! Still it will be great when it is back on the road. I'm thinking after x3 years in storage I'm going to replace the brakes all round , complete set. Discs, pads and calipers. I just fitted rear pads as they were down as low on the last mot there was a good 3 mil left lower than I would like. I checked them all at the same time the rear calipers pushed back OK I should have checked the front calipers for ease of movement but didn't . Some years ago I fitted groved and drilled discs which iv come to hate .
Advanced factors have some decent stuff and there service is fantastic. Also need to find a slight blow on the exhaust hopefully just the seal on the front box.

Head bearings will be fun iv just fitted new to my DAS bikes as part of my winter services.

Wow just checked pads and discs in 2014 the year I got the car I did a complete overhaul then but no calipers

Bit of a rattle on cold start this morning it went away almost immediately I'm thinking 1 of the lifters is draining back over night. Time for oil and filter change next.

Cheers Ben, did an Italian tune up visiting a mate, sensible drive back saw 22mpg at 1 point picture taken on the driveway when I got back.

What was the agro with the grooved and drilled disks by the way good sir?

Just the feel of them and I'm sure I can feel the groves dragging when braking.

Mines a 1997 Gems 4.6 same colour but a special edition model - dont you just love the point and hope drag link steering

Love and P38 steering are not words I’d ever use in the same sentence

One of the first jobs I do when I buy a P38 is replace all of the bushes on the front end with genuine LR ones. Especially the radius arms as it usually makes a huge difference to the steering.

Just in the process of putting the dash back in ours after replacing the heater matrix. Have gone for an Audi core this time and some silicon hose to do away with the bloody o-rings.

I uprated my heater matrix O rings after original type failed on me twice, think they were just ever so slightly thicker that and the nut and bolt mod seems to have fixed it for good. Now iv gone and done it will prob leak on me now.

Replaced the rear wiper motor, now all fixed I can clear my rear screen. Also did a stone chip repair its 98% better. Next on the list is a machine polish and sealant iv not polished it in over x3 years so the paints held up well in storage.

Time for new cats mine have collapsed restricting performance and rattling like mad, 22 years old I mean ffs only 22 years and they pack up what is landrover thinking of fitting such poor quality parts 😢.

Still nice new ones on there way and I will refit my old centre delete pipe for giggles.

How much are the new cats Dave?

I'm getting them for just under £200 with x3 year warrenty
