am considering a 405 and am looking at the lwb version or just sit with the executive set up, i want to be able to put skis through occasionally for ski hols etc..... has anyone got one and whether the lwb is worth the extra cash?

I got picked up in one to go to a Handover day, and it was very nice, but whether it's worth the extra money is debatable. The leg room is extensive and great if you're being chauffered or doing long journeys with family. All LR cars from 1984

Who will be sitting in the back ?

The ‘is it worth it’ question depends on whether the person paying for it will be the one benefitting…..

I love the look of the LWB but already struggle to find modern parking spaces big enough to accommodate my swb l405. Have had my mate in the back of my car (6'8") and he commented on how much leg room there was so personally I wouldn't pay extra for a LWB. Saying that if one came up at a reasonable price I wouldn't say no Mr. Green Paul

Just my own opinion, but I do not care for the looks of LWB models. It looks like the rear seat space is incredibly comfortable, so if you use the rear seats a lot, I imagine the passengers would love it, but it looks like a "limousine" to me. I'll probably be taken to task by the LWB Owner's. They have also been a little more difficult to sell here in the US.

Exe or LWB

For me I always wanted Exe rear seating, I unfortunately do not sit in it as always driving & wife won't drive my RR, ( thank god )
My boys have their own cars so use it when going out with friends as couples.. but just lately seem to be going on trips with family or boys 5 of us in total & only 4 X seats so means taking 2 cars but still glad to have Exe rear seats just looks better.. Thumbs Up Range Rover P38
