4.4 tdi inlet manifold hoses

inlet manifold hoses I am thinking of changing mine as they are looking a bit manky , the inlet manifolds are ok , do I go for standard dealer parts at £££ or can I use silicon hose with proper hose clips if so what size do I get ? black or i am tempted to order red . 2012 Black 4.4 TDV8

I think there were issues with the ones fitted at the factory, and the current new parts from Land Rover are much better.

That said, silicone I believe is the way to go if you can.

I’d go red or blue if it were me, you don’t see them under the cover anyway, and might stop a garage binning them etc if they see they are not the iffy factory ones…

No idea on sizes though. Never done it.

A 2012 car 'should' have the upgraded ones. I'd just buy some silicone hose and cut off 4 sections if you want to replace them and don't want to pay dealer prices. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I paid about £50 for a one-meter length of 70mm ID silicon tube from a uk manufacturer (not some random Chinese stuff off ebay). The plan was to replace the OEM items, as I expected they'd be in a poor state after nine years. However, when I removed the plenum on my 2012, the existing rubber looked new! The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile
