Anything that transmits a radio wave can potentially interfere with something else that uses radio waves. Lots is done to prevent it happening, but if the sums are just right you can get cross-modulation and harmonics all over the place even on very apparently different things. My old Disco 2 wouldn't lock or unlock outside my mum's old business premises because of a small microwave transmitter on the roof, despite the key fob working on UHF.

I agree. We have a new neighbour across the road and when someone presses their doorbell ours decides to join in!!! |
