Car Broken by French mechanic

Is there anyone local to Wakefield West Yorkshire that would be able to cast a skillful eye over the engine on my tdv8 after a French mechanic thought it would be a good idea to take it back on motorway when gearbox would only go into 3rd and kill the engine the Censored

sorry to read this. I live in France for over 20 years now and can say just one thing...the French and Range Rovers do not go well together...as we say : the most french are like french matches you need at least 3 and a lot of patience to light a candle. Good luck with the car!

Clermond Ferrand is about two and a half or 3 hours east from us. Why?

My first thought is, if this is a genuine mechanic he should have liability insurance against something like this?
If he knew there was a fault why did he goose the car…….just a thought?
Don’t let him get away Scott free. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

I knew he had done something bad as when it turned up for the second time on wagon 5 other mechanics rushed out of garage looking under bonnet the only problem with claiming against the garage is the language barrier the French court system maybe some of the people in France could point me in right direction

The best way would be to go through your insurance, if you have a coverage that includes legal affairs. Going through French court on your own with a French lawyer, would cost you a Range Rover and years of your life.

Try Land Rover Centre in Huddersfield, Green Oval in Leeds, Adventure Service & Repair in Morley as they deal with Range Rovers. -----------------------
