Increased engine noise 2500rpm

Hi all, did a long motorway run this weekend, have not been using the FF much this year as my Mrs has very much adopted him… Mr. Green

I noticed that the harmonic noise from the engine is more apparent at around 80mph when slightly under load, as soon as you lift your foot off the throttle it’s silent again. Nothing major and may be my landrover owners highly tuned ear being over active. Does not do it when revving in neutral.

To be fair it’s been like this for as long as we have owned him, Other than this the engine is smooth as butter… L322 2007 TDV8 3.6

By harmonic, do you mean a slight whistle?
Whats the mileage?
mine has been making a whistle at revs under load and my mind was turning to the turbo, but as with you i cant replicate it in neutral.

Hi Snowy, no with mine its just the "thrum" of the engine, No whistle as such. mine is on 85k.

Its probably something of nothing to be fair. after years of LR ownership i am highly tuned to any noises Whistle L322 2007 TDV8 3.6
