Battery posts

Are these the battery posts for connecting a battery charger to?
Can I connect a smart charger to it?

Its a p400e 2018. Thanks

Does anyone know if the hybrid battery charges the main battery?

When I unlocked the car after months and tried to start it I got battery warning message. The car started and I left it running for 15 mins. Then turned it off.

I checked the voltage at these posts and I could see it at 14.30. So that tells me that the starter battery (main battery) is getting charged.

Do I need to keep the car unlocked or bonnet open for the hybrid battery to charge it? Hybrid battery is sitting at 80%.

No, not in my experience. The alternator charges the 12V main (and secondary) battery.

I think you will find that’s routine advice for all cars. They fret that the hydrogen given off during charging could ignite so the elf and safety mob put in a warning.
I’ve charged a few batteries in my life and never taken them out of the car.
