How long at the dealers ?

As my SVA approaches 11 weeks at the dealer with a suspension issue they can’t figure out, I wonder what’s the longest time anyone’s car has been in for warranty work at any one time ?

Did you buy it from an LR dealer and is this the dealer where its been sat for 11 weeks?

Its difficult to know how old the car is, your profile says its a 2015 SVD8.

I'd consider contacting LRCS and raising a case (if the dealer hasn't already) and firmly asking for either some assistance from LR technical or depending on how far you want to go, that the supplying dealer buy back the car.

Loan car or no loan car, coming up for 3 months is a bit of a push to be without your car.

It’s a 2019 5.0 SVA bought at 2 yrs old off LR dealer.

In fairness dealer admits it doesn’t know why the rear is unstable over 50mph, technical looked at it for a few weeks then passed to engineering who design them.

Various drives recording behaviour but no solution yet.

Problem is due to chip shortage vehicle is worth more than I paid so they would be happy to buy it, but I couldn’t replace for same money.

Would rather keep it and step up to new in 2023.

Between them, there's a lot the Dealer and LR can do if they're motivated, its a lot of paperwork but in the absence of a solution after nearly 3 months, the dealer could build a case for an Assisted Vehicle Change (AVC) but this all comes down to whether the car is sat at the supplying dealer or another dealer. Essentially you've been inconvenienced by this issue and have lost the use and enjoyment of the car you bought in good faith.

Chip shortage or not, it sounds like the car is potentially dangerous to drive, how long is a reasonable expectation to wait for a resolution.

Talk to the head of business in the dealer, they're not the DP but most of them are understanding and reasonable people.

What have they lent you? they lent me a Censored F Pace that rubbed salt in an open wound. Do you check In Control to see that it is not just parked up in a compound. letters not necessarily in the right order

Had a velar with a problem for a month, in a hybrid sport now that’s ok.

But miss the large boot on Cornwall trips.

Amazed that problem not identified !

Would understand waiting for a part but not even got there yet.

Car has stood a lot the last 2 weeks though so prodded the dealer weds that I was watching the app.

England 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Right, I am not an engineer, or in any way a technical person.
one of my business partners had a RRS SVR which his wife used.
Every now and then he used it, and he's quite heavy footed. He 'almost killed himself' (his words) doing a tad over the legal speed limit on a straight road and then thought he was riding a toboggan (side to side movement).
The car was around 9 months old with a few thousand miles and this was around 2018/19.
Local LR dealer took it out and had the same problem, over a certain speed.
The fault was traced to a delaminated bush on the rear suspension swinging arm on one side.
Apart from driving, it could only be detected by using pry bars at each bushing point and was not visible without using bars to simulate movement.

Possibly your problem??????? '17 RANGE ROVER L405 SDV8 AB LOIRE BLUE with INDUS SILVER ROOF
