Went to fit the new cats/front down pipes at the week end.....well x5 out of 6 studs snapped clean off dispite the engine being up to temp and everything hot.

Manifolds comming off gonna drill them out re tap and start again.

Will re wrap these as there off when I did my head gaskets I left the rotten heat shields off and used exhaust wrap which is just about falling off about now.

Are you sure you can't do it in situ? Removing the drivers side manifold is a pain in the arse to get the back stud. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

Wasn't gonna happen in situ and I want to re wrap with nice new exhaust wrap at the same time. It was a battle but the off side us off that hard to get at lower rear bolt gave up in the end. Just the near side to remove next then it's drill out and re tap.

Mite have to sell up soon any ways with the threat of the ulez extention out to my zone next year after x3 years in storage I was just getting use to the idea of running this great car for the summer and locking it up for winter.........I have a mate outside the M25 who may be able to store it for me, will have to see.
