Hard audio connection to iPhone 10 pro, not Bovee

Hi all,

New boy here, just picked up a 2012 Westminster and will write a proper intro thread soon. One thing that I would like to get working is my hard iphone connection. I have a D4 which I just plug in via USB, obviously this isnt an option with the Rangey - I bought a 30-pin to female usb cable, then plugged in a male USB to lightning thinking that would simply do it, but it didn't recognise it.

Has anyone found out a way (or indeed a 30-pin to lightning cable) to hard connect? Or do i just go for the Bovee option?

Chris

Just go for the Bovee. Bovee works but is sometimes unreliable when switching between calls and streaming on my iPhone (was faultless on my Android). I hate the autoplay on the iphone music app which can't be switched off and the fact that you can't shut off autolock when bluetooth connection is made like you can on Android. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I used the RR coily cable to connect my iPhone 8 with a 30 pin to lightning adapter, worked perfectly on my 2012 Westie.

@mpirie: have you put a 12v to 5v adapter before the 30pin to lighting?

if not is your iphone 8 charging when connected?
