Chasing down missing service history

Hi all, first post here but been lurking for a good while. I have a 2012 Westminster which I bought last year with 103k on it and in superb looking condition.

It has full LR and specialist history from 2015 (50k miles) up to date. However the first 3 years of its history are no where to be found.

I've contacted LR Central customer support and they can't find anything on their system. They did track down the supplying dealer however who I spoke to today but sadly they don't have any records of it either, other than having sold it from new.

Bit of a long shot but I wondered if anybody on here had tried to track down missing history before and if there is anything else I can try in order to locate anything about its first 3 years.

Many thanks

If it's been maintained outside of the official dealer network, I reckon you'll struggle to find anything I'm afraid.

(Edit): I'm in the same boat with mine - First service was LR, then nothing to be found, despite being sold as LR approved twice afterwards!! The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

Is it an OV12 registration vehicle per chance..?? If so, it was likely serviced by land Rover company vehicles.

I think on the balance of probabilities whilst under the 3 year manufacturers warranty I can't see that it wouldn't have been serviced accordingly and as you say if it went through the approved used programme later in life then I'm sure it will be ok but agree it would be nice to track it down.

As annoying as it is, it's not really going to add any value, otherwise completing a very small proportion of the history. When you sell, do you think someone would be put off because it's missing such a small amount of detail? Don't get me wrong, I do get it, but i'd just move on and wait for the next repair bill...

Thanks all some wise words there. I've got it booked for the 124k service on Friday with an LR specialist so that at least gets it all up to date.

I suspect I'm over thinking/valuing that early part of its historygiven its been an approved vehicle since then.

Reg is FX which I think is Lincoln, odd as it was first sold in Dorset
