Has your oil level increased?

Petrol engines also can suffer oil dilution, and now with the new E10 fuel, more ethanol can accelerate liner/ ring oil wash.

Hard to say, but it certainly hasn't lowered... But I have so few petrol miles these days...
Makes me think, everyone with a P400e is complaining about engine kicking in when it has no reason to and then never stopping... Maybe it has something to do with regen... Last week this happened to me and then the engine light turned on... They said oil dilution is the cause (this time)... In for oil change now...
Btw, the price of the 3rd scheduled service is 870GBP with a 15% discount!!! 2019 Vogue P400e

So just picked up the car. The issue is the DPF not cleaning itself via any Regen. So is stuck on active Regen.

The DPF is being replaced under warranty. Same for this oil change and the next one when they get the part. SDV8 AB MY 2020

Great you are getting a new DPF for free. So much for it being an electrical issue Whistle

Monitor your incontrol app once you get your new DPF fitted, and as the service countdowns, see if it actually has made a difference (sorry for being a little cynical) Rolling with laughter

But !If it was stuck on active regen, you would certainly notice the smell and heat from exhaust when you went to the rear of the car as your exhaust would be constantly at 500+ Celsius.

Also if you were having no regens Rolling with laughter you would be in Amber in no time then the dreaded Red.

Pity you didn't have the app you would see your exhaust temps and when DPF trigger occurs, in real time.

Good luck but please return to this thread with updates 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

I will do. The dongle I ordered still hasn’t arrived.

The service guy explained it to the people who deal with the customers so something may have got lost in translation. French technical to English non technical.

I have only once had the message about please continue to drive DPF is cleaning (or something like that). And that is after a 5 hour motorway journey. And thinking about it that is when the km for next service started dropping.

Friday I drive to Italy so it will have a nice long blast on the autobahns. SDV8 AB MY 2020

Make sure you do over 102km/hr, thats when passive regeneration happens, as minimum exhaust temp at DPF is then above 250 Celsius. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

So with normal journeys, I get 8-12 l/100km. The drop in KM until the next service is normal. I had a journey the other day where I has 19 i/100km, it should have been about 12 l/100km. The km until the next service dropped 1000km for a 40km trip.

I now understand what was being explained (i think). DPF is dirty so a bit of extra fuel to clean. but it is not cleaning so keeps with the extra fuel. But in the App it is saying that the DPF is clean and efficient.

I start the 900km trip this afternoon. Sadly the dongle never came so can't view the data. I will see what happens. SDV8 AB MY 2020

So back from Italy. 800km each way.
Going, I was under 100km/h average due to traffic. Average 70-90km/h
5000km from the total until next service.

Return. The first 200km under 100km/h. But the other 600km 120+km/h average.
Only 4500km from the total until next service.

Total: 29338km to 30186km to 30994km
Service in: 22417km 17470km 12993km
DPF: 6100km 3500km 1250km

So also lots of AdBlue used. SDV8 AB MY 2020
