Could I get used to the steering wheel?

I’m a big fan of light coloured interiors.

Still can’t get used to the idea however of steering with a wheel that looks like it’s pretending to be a a whitewall tyre.

Has anyone worked out how to have a dark steering wheel with a light interior? My current AB has ivory interior and black leather steering and I think the combination works well. 2016 SDV8 AB

I am reserving judgement on the steering wheel, don't understand the shape or the need for mettle or a seam.
Hopefully there will be an aftermarket alternative. letters not necessarily in the right order

Its the one thing that your eye is drawn to, other than that the interior is growing on me.

Looks like its been borrowed from Volvo.

The steering wheel on the L460 is utterly bizarre IMO.

I really don't like the central layout of it at all. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

That steering wheel is enough to put me off, not least because you will be seeing it whilst driving. Its hideous and doesn’t reflect the marque heritage. That Genesis thing has a similar wheel, What were they thinking by putting it in a RR?

Its the size of the silver bit that makes it look cheap, its probably not, it just looks it and it is all personal opinion. Always thought the L405 rim felt a bit too thin compared to the L322.

If one has the black interior the rim of the steering wheel is all black, so you could buy and fit a wheel for a black interior, if the dealer cannot arrange for LR to build the car with an all black wheel in the first place (Q if SV would do this, it seems so easy to change). Like you, I don't like the two tone wheel at all and would be put off if I had to have it, also apt to get grubby unless one is really careful or cleans it very regularly. Only Range Rovers since 1988
