Hi all, have had the dreaded Restricted performance light come on with no power, will not reset.
So into dealers it has gone, they have diagnosed to high fuel pressure, so are going to replace fuel injector loom saying this is the fault.
Has anybody heard of this as a fault then replacing wiring loom as fix?

Well I too recently had the dreaded restricted performance warning message on my MY17 4.4 TDV8 but this only happened when I gave it some welley. It would usually clear once the engine was switched off for a few minutes although this may be coincidence.

Took it to the local indy, after looking at the diagnostics and some sucking of teeth, he recommended changing the bank 2 air mass meter - particularly as it only occurred when the second turbo kicked in when giving it some large! . So far so good and an easy/cheap ten minute repair.

A relatively cheap fix and mine's been fine ever since. What do I put here then?

Mine started doing this after a service (was OK before) no faults showing on IDTool but “clear all faults” seems to work. So does stopping for a bit of lunch. Any ideas? Geoff

My MY16 was like this and I would clear the faults as I was driving use the iid app. It turned out to be a software issue and an update sorted it. No problem since 2019 Autobiography SDV8 Byron blue/black - current
