DVD 6disk player - Disk Error

I have just bought a RRAB 2011 4.4 tdv8 with RSE, 6 DVD charger in the LH Boot and 6 CD charger in the glove box.

I have tried today to play a DVD, I have only found 2, nowadays all DVDs are stored away as everybody look Netflix... but both of them gave me the DISK ERROR on the screen, I have also changed the position of the disk inside the charger, no difference after some time of READING it come out DISK ERROR.

Funny enough I have the same issue on the glove box CD, it feel the disk but unable to read it...

Thanks as usual for your precious suggestions.

My first daft attempt at helping would be to suggest......are you loading the CD's into the cassettes upside down, especially as you are getting the same fault with both, don't ask me how I know Whistle

No insult intended, as being in the merch, I am probably the worlds most travelled village idiot Whistle

May be worth trying the below lens cleaning kit, this may help.

Thanks for the hint.
Have you ever done personally?

I am concerned that the disk with the brushes get stucked in the mechanism

i have used a similar cleaning disc and fluid on my 2006 car CD player and a lap top 'built in' disc drive with good results
It is a cheap first step to eliminate one possible fault. Hope it works.

My 2010 has the same problem. I've tried a cleaning disk with no effect.

I suppose I need to pull it out and send it off to someone, but i never really think about it until the kids complain on a trip. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Sorry for thread hijack...

My DVD player in my 06 Supercharged won't eject discs. Will play whats in there ok but wont eject. Tried with ignition on/off etc. Just no response from eject button.

Any tips for getting the cartridge out? Maybe like a paperclip in a PC drive?

Cheers 2006 4.2 Supercharged

Hi Daniel, I couldn’t eject my dvds, read on here that if you tap the unit, it releases! Certainly did for me!
I have another issue where my cds only play for a few seconds then switch off!
I know you do a repair but removing the unit is a nightmare!
I’d certainly send it to you once I get it out Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 2007 VOGUE SE 3.6 TDV8
