Logic7 HD Sound system

Good afternoon folks.
I have had my Westminster a few days and have been disappointed by the sound system to put it mildly! The speakers all seemed to be working but poor volume and terrible sound quality. Almost like a louder version of an old transistor radio!
On searching the forum there are quite a few posts reporting the same sort of issue. The Westminsters have the 1200 watt system and I was contemplating removing all the speakers to see what was wrong.
I was reading the manual to see if it threw any light when I noticed there is a volume menu if you hold the tone button in for a few seconds. You can then access the AVC level. This sets the volume increase as the car goes faster. I hate that feature and mine was on maximum. I turned it down to 0 and suddenly the music burst to life!
Pretty good now I have to say. The door speakers don’t like too much bass but useful.

If anyone else is having this issue it is an obvious thing to check first! It’s saved me a lot of wasted time

In my few years owning range rovers… I did not know this one!
It intrigued me so much I just popped to the car to check and yes I have the same option!

Yes, that’s it. Mine was turned up to maximum setting. I suppose that means that I would have to go at 130 mph to hear the sound in all its glory!
The car is so quiet anyway , why would you want the volume to increase with speed?
I could understand it in my old TR6 but not in a double glazed luxury car.

I’ve never had issues with the volume or sound quality.
I’ve never noticed that the volume increases with speed… nor had to adjust it either (that I can remember anyways). But that’s the point of it I guess!

Speaking of sound quality, I use the iPod connection and cannot fault the sound quality from it or my speakers. For a “stock” sound system it’s a cracking system Thumbs Up Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

The AVC isn’t a sound limiting thing, it just ups the volume a bit as speed increases…, so shouldn’t be your problem… that said, it obviously was…. Strange.

I turned the Logic 7 off and mine was much better, but you have probably read that….

Glad you got it how you like it.

Same, I’ve turned off the logic 7 for music and it’s much better- the logic 7 is best used for the tv’s as it adds surround sound really, not great with music 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE

There's someone on the forum who has replaced their stock low/mid range speakers with retrofit PAS ones and he says the audio quality is way better. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
