Battery Charger/Conditioner

I've just had an email from Lidl, this might be of interest to some. I have an Aldi one and a C-Tek so won't be buying it nor will I be recommending it (even my Aldi one has never been used).

Nice little units. I have one along with a Ctek. My father and father in-law also have the Lidl ones. No complaints and happy to recommend them. Kev

Hi,

agree with Kev ^ I have had one of these for a few years now and works fine, they have an AGM setting as well,
I have cut the wires and added a multiplug so I can swap ends to, croc clips, towplug charger, on-board caravan charger.

Thumbs Up

Thanks supershuttle. Sent the missus to Lidl to buy 2, 1 for her car and 1 for me. I'll see how they fare, though not needed a battery charger for years if I'm honest. Still, at that price i just had to.

I just got three of them and have them all working already.

However, unless I'm missing something, there appears to be a slight issue with their method of operation....

In the event of a power cut, if they are on a 12v car, or AGM setting, when the power comes back on the setting is gone. They just light-up and appear to do nothing! Shocked

I've been through the manual (skim reading in typical male fashion) and I can't see anything to suggest what is happening if the mode button isn't pressed after the unit is powered-up. Confused The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile
