Clearing old phones from system

My iPhone 12 has to be paired every time the ignition is switched on!
iPhone 12 has gone for a repair, so I’ve reinstated my old iPhone 6! Connects every time!
Is there a way you can delete all previous phones?
Does the system have a max number of phones that can be connected?? 2007 VOGUE SE 3.6 TDV8

Interesting. I have just bought a 2007 4.2SC and used the 2121 pairing - I’ve got an iPhone 7 - and I have to re-pair every time I get in.

Be good to know if it can be cleared and will then auto pair.

No direct help, but I’m sure the older BMW system paired with 4 then each new one made it forget the one connected with the longest time period ago.

Not sure why removing the old phones will help you, sounds more like a Bluetooth version compatibility issue on the newer phones, ie too new for car….

Only a guess though.

Maybe others who have an iPhone 12 can advise if their 2007 car connects automatically and what version of iOS they have etc…..

Get rid of the Apple rubbish, my Blackberry pairs and works perfect every time.

I shall await the barrage of abuse in return!!

My FF2009 facelift model according to the manual remembers 5 phones, I can't see the phonebook, no surprise really, the phone is anything but a smart phone. needs to pair every time I start the car, SWMBO's apple 8 pairs automatically, never tried the phone book...
