Telephone on vogue 2006

Hi guys I have purchased a 2006 vogue that does not have a telephone fitted however if you push the voice control switch on the steering column it comes up telephone on the display. My question is will there possibly be a loom in the back somewhere ready for a telephone module ? If so where would I look for it can’t see anything obvious behind the passenger panel in the boot.
My second question is has anyone fitted a blue tooth phone upgrade to 2006 if so is it the same as the 2002 on ones as I converted my 2002 vogue and have the unit here. Thanks for any assistance.

A 2006 should have the phone fitted as far as I’m aware.

If you search for Bluetooth devices on your phone do you see “Land Rover” listed as a device? If so, tap on it and enter the code 2121 when prompted. The dashboard will show “No Phone Fitted” until it’s got a Bluetooth device paired with it.

The module will be behind the panel on the left hand side of the boot. It’s a grey module at the top of the stack.

Picture taken from a post on here but it’s the module circled.

Yes I did but it doesn’t automatically connect I have to fire it up every time which is annoying.

That’s a shame as I’m looking to do the same on my 2006 (2007 facelift) 4.2 sc.

Having to reconnect every time you get in the car is one of the traits of the early bluetooth module unfortunately.

Wiggs on the Disco forum can update the firmware on it to stop that happening or you can upgrade the module to a 2012 one as per the Wiki which will improve the quality slightly, stop the reconnection issues and will display signal strength on the screen.

There's a flash upgrade for the bluetooth module available on the Gap IID which will give you automatic pairing and phone book access. The only drawback to the upgrade is that it disables the phone cradle so you wont be able to use your burner phone
