Replacing radio amplifier model number XGK000020

I need to replace/ repair my amplifier due to corrosion, water damage. Model number XQK000020, I found a few on eBay but some of the other numbers/ codes on the sticker are different to mine. Does this matter and what do they mean. Appreciate any help as I don’t want to buy one that won’t work correctly. Many thanks.

Also maybe another silly question but do replacement amplifier need to be re programmed, and if so is this a dealer only job. Again appreciate any help or advice as no music is no fun.

Hey Paul, what year L322 do you have first up?

The 02-04 were the BMW series (Alpine) screen….the radio amp (tuner) and DSP if you have it….and from 05-09 (not sure about) were the logic7 system ( Ford i think) which are completely different operating system.

Someone will chime in if I’m not completely correct

I have an 02 L322 and boy oh boy have i had some dramas with the BMW series audio

Looking at those numbers it’s a model around 02-04 you have?

Thanks for the reply but all sorted now. XQK000020 they’re all compatible. Got a used on from eBay, then just plug and play. Mines 03 hse with aftermarket kenwood unit. Works great now.

L30, shown on the label, is the BMW code for the RR. It only became L322 when they sold to Ford….
