Phone Cradle Removal

Hi,

Hopefully a really easy question to answer for someone, but I have a old siemens phone cradle in the centre arm rest and wanted to remove it. Is it just a case of prying it out or is it held in with screws somehow ?

Cheers Thumbs Up

I had a phone cradle in my old 2005MY TD6, might be slightly different to yours but if you unlatch and raise up the centre armrest and look underneath it there was a tab that you pressed to release the cradle.

Dunno if this will help. I did mine a few years back when the GSM network closed here. Scroll down the page to the text and pix at https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic21468...p;start=60 Ron B. VK2OTC

So I just got a bit of time to go and take a proper look and managed to sort it.

First off, lift the centre cubby lid and underneath there's x4 Torx screws to remove

Once removed, push down on the handle and pull the top section of the cubby upwards to split the two sections

unplug the connector

Pry the two arms either side of the phone holder apart

Slide the phone cradle out

Now I can get that Land Rover Mini Umbrella to put in there. Thumbs Up
