MY18> Code Reader

Just out of interest, rather than needing to do anything - are there any tools for the post-2018 cars that offer more than a generic OBDII reader?

I got this tool and it doesn't support <2018... I wrote to them and the reply was:

"Kindly note that AP200 can not support vehicle of 2019 or newer one, thus your vehicle can not be present. If possible, you can try other device such as MX808 for use."

Do you use the generic app? The Land Rover one doesn't even let me input my VIN...

It certainly works for me.
Look at the coverage page on their site and input Landrover/New Range Rover/ and its 2016 onwards but maybe they dont cover your battery car and its engine?

If you input Range Rover instead of new Range rover you get coverage from 1995 through to 2012.

Yes use Landrover, if I do an auto scan it detects my vin but I do get a decode error.
So I use the Manual scan and pick New Range Rover (its not the 460 lol)

Then pick 2016-

Then pick my Engine

Then do a DTC scan, afterwards you can do a quick erase to see if code clears or save a pdf report etc

What I like about this is if you have different models in the LR marque it will also work for them at no extra cost. If you have a different marque in the family you just pay an extra £20 or so and it covers all the models of the other marque you select.

Its a very cheap DTC reader and code eraser with other options which I haven't needed to use yet, and recently when Landrover remote was frozen (my car was somewhere else lol) and not able to use Guardian mode! I used the AP200 to clear the DTC on the Telematics module and all returned to normal. It found the DTC and issue I had with my compressor and also turbo actuator issue. The Gap tool doesn't support my vehicle so this works for me. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Thank you, I thought about doing this, the problem is that my engine isn't mentioned! Being a P400e, the car has a 2 liter petrol engine and an electric motor... Maybe I should choose an Evoque?

Adara Is it not the 2.0 GTDI option in my 3rd picture? 2L engine fitted also to Evoque and Disco sport? Try the manual set up as discussed.

There are other cheap code readers on the market that might support your vehicle, I do use the car scanner app with a different OBD2 for watching my DPF cycle.
But just checked and it also does not support your model, try evoque forum like you mentioned, and google search etc.

I did find the Ipace forum are pretty switched on regarding battery tech etc they might be able to help also or at least point you in the right direction. They had all sorts of PIDs which with the correct app you can view battery parameters in real time etc would be of interest to you. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

You are right, thank you, I used the 2.0GTDi option and it worked!
Already cleared 2 codes, it's awesome!
Every now and then, while taking a longer trip, the check engine light would come up and require a visit to the dealer, which says this occurs because the regen doesn't take place as it should, if just electric trips are made (my commute). Hopefully this will clear those when necessary...

Glad it works for you Adara.
I would still recommend you look at the Ipace forum as they have all sorts of PID's for battery management etc and might be able to help you with your electrical regen issue. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Thank you!
I will look at the forums, especially since my wife's car is an I-Pace... Now, it would be amazing to use the Autel for her car too!

Yes it will work on your Ipace.
You will need to pay $21.99 to add the Jaguar Marque cars to your app, as your first Marque is free with the tool, and you have already set it to Landrover. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue
