Booked into body shop on Monday, both rear inner arches round doors and part of sills to be chopped out and redone, then paint. So that’s a week without the car, but at least it’ll have fresh metal in there 👍. I’ve removed 99% of the external chrome, so mirror covers, door handles etc and replaced with piano black, I’m not a chrome fan. I’ve also done the piano black inside, heater fascia and centre console area. Next it’s wheels

Back from body shop after inner rear arches and sills done, gave it a quick wash and dry, interior got really good clean of dust etc. black front grill ordered, black lettering to be put on next. Off up north tomorrow to collect my Kahn RS600 wheels, they need a good clean, blasting and power coating, lucky for me my business has those facilities and a willing employee 👍

So far this year I've had engine dropped out to allow exhaust manifold bolts to be removed/helicoiled and new gaskets, Ive now had to have new rear discs/pads and a calliper. This is all on top of the bodywork repairs, Ive now got the opportunity to have a BMW X6M E71 via my company, So the L322 is gonna go. Its amazing the difference in offer prices from Motorway and WBAC Sad £6.5k initially, then dropped over phone to £4k, WBAC offered £3k. Im not sure I want the hassle of private sale, I tend to attract the wrong types

Just something to consider, a company provided X6M will be excruciating in BIK. In the region of £700-800 a month even as a basic rate tax payer - double that if you are a higher earner. 2005 E60 M5

Assuming the E71 is worth around 20k... and you got 5k for you SC, a 15k personal loan over 2 years would be £650 a month saving you £150 and you would own the car at the end. Assuming you are paying tax at 20% - if you were at 40% you'd have paid basically the value in 12 months in BIK tax when you could have just bought it.

Paying BIK is an absolute waste of money on something like that. Up to you of course but just offering 2p to save you thousands! 2005 E60 M5
