Importing my car to France- OMG, the price of local L322s

Moved here last year, and the bought my 4.2 SC in the UK near Christmas time.

Decided that I needed to get legal, so started the process of importing and registering it here. All going OK, had to pay VAT and duty which the nice man at the Douanes (customs) office helped me with.

Next stop is a CT (MOT), which I will do in the next week or so after I have a new wondscreen fitted this week.

Anyway, I decided to look at the cost of the L322s here.

I think this emoticon sums it up Shocked

Didn't do much to the prices when the existing ULEZ charge came in. If you can afford to run a LR/RR you can easily afford the ULEZ...... 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

the RHD cars hardly sell here, so don't think that exporting UK cars will make you rich...

It's all ready having a knock on effect, it's not about those who can afford to run them the prices are dropping so people are buying into the lux of range rover ownership only to find out there cheap car will cost £12:50 per day to drive it on top of everything else.

We are seriously looking to move outside the M25

Another place to sell is Pakistan. They can be very expensive even for old cars they only have a few available at any point.
