Rear 2016 l405 spoiler cracked !!

Hi everyone quick question, I opened the powered tailgate this pm and then closed it, at which point I heard a loud crack and saw a large 15 cm crack had opened down the middle of my rear spoiler! Took it down to LR Wimbledon who found that a piece of trim from the boot wiring loom had worked its way loose and got caught in the boot and cracked the spoiler! Have been quoted about £1100 to replace it!! Shocked

Does anyone know if this can be repaired and painted or do I have to buy a whole new painted spoiler !! What a day!!

If you can take the spoiler off yourself, (they’re not difficult), a decent shop will repair and paint it for you.
There’s a few plugs to unclip which are a bit tight and the feed to the rear washer, better if you have a second pair of hands when removing and fitting. If you can source a second hand one the same colour hey presto, I’m never that lucky and ended up repairing mine myself, something had fell on it by the look of it and cracked the mounts.

Quick update , thanks for people's replies and help.
I have gone to a local bodyshop who have said they will be able to repair the crack and refinish the spolier and will also get the rear d pillar replaced as it had a scratch from a falling tile from this Januarys storms.!! Robin from duckworth parts was a big help the d pillar trim was ordered and then delivered within a few days!!
