Roof Panel

Hi all...

Recently, I had the roof lining on my car changed.
As it seems, the technician who did it, must have touched something in the roof panel, that since then, I've been experiencing a lot of wind noise coming from the sunroof.

I've already tried the 20sec pressing button solution to recalibrate the opening, but to no avail.

So, I had a look and it seems that one of the corners was a bit raised up, so I had to revert to fine tune the roof panel by means of moving about with the 6 bolts that hold it in place.

Now the question is:
What is the correct procedure to fine tune it?
How much gap should be in the glass panel and surround. (i've read somewhere that the glass shouldn't be more than 1mm above the surround bodywork)
Should I go 1bolt, try, another, retry, etc etc...?

i've already moved a bit with it, but it's still not perfect. I would like to tune it really like factory!!!

Any help is appreciated!!! Cool

if you put tape all around i would think it should go silent, so that proves the noise is actually the glass panel. would be worth proving the fault is with the roof glass, and not something else, like the windscreen side trims. had my glass out and now its fine, even though it looks slightly higher on one side. -noticed when washing car.

I think that you're nearly there. It's just adjusting those six screw, the sunroof would have had to come out to enable the head lining to be replaced. Thumbs Up
