I have a high pitched whirring noise which appears to be coming from, what I can only describe as the top of the engine, under the plastic engine cover, on my tdv8, 3.6

It’s not there all the time, it can be several days between it happening, but it’s getting more frequent.
I’ve not had any loss of power, or smoke from exhaust, but could it be the turbos?

We also need a little more info on when it does happen, how if occurs. Is it when idling, cruising, accelerating etc?

The turbos are down the sides of the engine block so, if the noise is coming from the top, your only likely causes are the intake manifold and hoses suggesting an intake leak making the noise. The alternatives are one of the pulleys/idler on the auxiliary belt or one of the fuel pumps. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Typical, it’s not doing it when I came to video/record the noise, I’ll try again, when it does it again !!

Forgot to mention, it’s usually when under acceleration
