405 gearbox bracket

Had a ‘knocking’ noise coming from the front area of the motor, initially thought it was the front lower arms, which were worn, and have been changed.
Noise is still there, bushes, dampers seem ok, garage have done some research, and found it could be a problem with a gearbox bracket?
Any one heard of this problem before?
