Collected my car back from LR main dealer today where it was booked in for a service.
They informed me they could not change the fuel filter as they are on back order and wont be available until December.
Anyone else heard anything about this?

There's been filter production issues for several months now - all types and for various marques, Mahle seem to have particular issues. We haven't been told why but I suspect it's transportation or sourcing of the raw materials as it's affecting most, if not all filter manufacturers.

December isn't that far away, I wouldn't worry about it.
