Hello - have a 2015 L405 supercharged. One of my pet peeves is the access to heated and cooled seats through the screen. LR must have also realized this was annoying and changed it in 2016/2017.

With all the other talk of retrofits here, has anyone attempted to retrofit a 2017 control unit into a 2015?

I believe the 2017 part is LR086027. I was thinking that it could be as easy as plugging it in since it is all software underneath.

Any thoughts or has anyone tried this?

I also want to do this retro fit. According to a breaker I spoke to he seems to think the pannel shares the same mounting and plug for the wiring, so its possible that it may work

The new unit is GLPH-18A802-DH.

I want to do this in my 2013, but I am not sure if it will work. Dan. 🇨🇦 2013 L405 5.0 SCV8

If it doesn't work I have one of these fitted, works very well, better than most aftermarket touch screens.

Can be configured for left or right hand drive... Heated/cooled seats in two presses from the default climate screen..

As other,s I've done it and it worked very well.

Just be careful that you get the right unit!

If the seller isn't sure or the label has been removed from the unit I'd steer clear - although you might like to check if the 'knobs' can be pushed in - a switch action - as (obviously) the original one doesn't have that switch action.
