Brake Callipers

Has anyone had their callipers painted and the land rover letters reapplied? All the cars seem to have the callipers in a sorry state so I was thinking to get them redone.

The answer is yes, you can clean them up re-paint them & find stickers on eblag to apply.
You'll find plenty of posts on here if you use the search function.
You could get someone else to do it, but I imagine it would be very expensive as its quite labour intensive.

People have successfully used everything from smooth Hammerite through heat resistant paint. Paul,

Easy enough to do. I took mine off and sprayed them.

The wife was away for the weekend...

Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Yes, we all must obey er, SWIMBO Embarassed

Even spraying in the garage results in everything covered in overspray literally everywhere, I did the aluminium side panels of my revered Bow down Quad 5905 speakers in Satin Black, -they came up lovely, so silky smooth after lots of prep and rubbing down between many undercoats, but Jeez! Garage was a total mess! Embarassed
Now, with 2 cars too big to fit the stupidly tiny doors, it’s now become an unused gym after much expense Rolling with laughter

But, given patience & time and good prep, it’s amazing the results you can get with a rattle-can, I did a new front grille on my Ford Ranger (Yes, the tacky one with the huge “FORD” on the front Rolling with laughter -I have no taste, obvs. ) came out great and even managed to perfectly match Ford Boulder Grey, which unhelpfully Ford haven’t made available, along with their orange “Wildtrak” paint. What? So, I can’t even buy a touch-up for stonechips? FFS! Obvs Ford think owners take no pride in their vehicles, unlike FFRR owners. Sorry for the slight thread highjack Embarassed

Back to caliper painting, well, I cheated and just bought refurbed ones, but it was part of a “big brake” upgrade of my TDV6, which wasn’t easy, but has worked flawlessly since, but yes big red shiny brakes look lovely, so go for it -when the weather warms up!
