Windscreen chips

Any suggestions for the best way to remedy windscreen chips?
My windscreen was recently left chipped by some stones on a recently resurfaced road

I recall a while back that insurance companies allowed windscreen repairs without affecting a no-claims bonus?
Or is this a task that can be performed at home / at a garage with right resin mixture / know how?

Call your insurance company and they will arrange a chip repair company to come out and inspect and repair (if chips fit in the criteria) 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
