Stunned, shocked, surprised

Had a problem with my 2013 3.0 L405 saw took to this ere tinternet to read up on it. Most answers said check the battery.

So this morning I headed in to the boot to take a look. Would you believe it still had the original battery from JLR that it left the factory with, complete with a 2013 date stamp on the terminal.90k on the clock !. Now thats what I call value for money. 9 years old . Clearly now a bit tired so new one on order ( Varta ) I shall be checking the stop start battery later.

Mine still has both original 2013 batteries.

I meant to do some preventative maintenance & replace them this year, but didn't get round to it. Let's hope they last another winter or I'll be paying the main dealer in Andorra and I have no idea what their prices are like.....

UPDATE

Found the bit on the Solus that has let me tell the vehicle it has a new battery !

Struggling on that front at the moment. Have use of a Snap On Solus which will read my codes and can identify my vehicle but haven't found the bit on it which you use to tell the car about the battery change.
