I can get a late model first version with low miles for around £20k and the spreadsheet of reality says I'll be saving at least £5k per year just in running costs and that doesn't include repairs so it's sobering reading. The Jeeps look interesting and good value but I have doubts about the ride quality for what most of my driving use will be - M-Ways and the XC60 by all accounts is a very comfortable cruiser. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Also looking now at the 15-17my 6 speed manual cars as an option. I vowed never to go back to a manual gearbox but the economy of the manual is significantly better than the 6 speed auto which is also reported to be notchy and crude. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
