Long time lurker and infrequent poster here however the time is right to finally jump into FF ownership.

I'm moving careers and fingers crossed, starting a new post in February that comes with a car allowance. One of the stipulations is the car mustn't be older than 6 years so I will be looking for a 2018 car to give me a couple of years in it before having to changing again.

Unfortunately this stretches the funds more than I'd like so prices must be keen (was originally looking for 16/17 plates).

I'd much prefer a 4.4 as I'll be doing enough miles that rules out a petrol and I want a v8 before they get wiped out by eco-ists.

Most/any dark colours would be considered, you'll have to tempt me on lighter colours.

I have a few weeks to sell my current steed and secure the job but funds will be in place from the start of January regardless; I need to have one sorted by mid February.

Please send me details of anything you have or have seen that may be suitable advertised elsewhere.

Hopefully my car is going on Monday, I have a final interview the week after for a new job that will mean I'm either buying an L405 registered in 2019 (because of the company car allowance policy vs my budget) or one around 2015+ in January (maybe beginning of February iff that suits the seller better).

I know what you mean, I have been searching on the Approved site and the newer ones are nicer but I still like the older ones, and the older ones are still a big step up from my 15 year old BMW.

The deciding factor is if I get the job and it comes with a car allowance, then, I'll be going for the newer one; any other option probably means the older car is favourite (but not by much). Onto my 2nd FFRR, this time an L405 5.0L SC AB in SVO Palette black.

I'm not too averse to travelling, I live in Cheshire but bought my BM from Southampton, an Audi from Ipswich and a race bike from Dumfries.

Good news as I have been offered the job I was after and the salary/car allowance is bang on for my needs so looking for an L405, ideally a SDV8 in dark colours but nothing discounted.
