Extreme Cold

Always amazed that my L405 starts at -30C albeit the strange noises made by the engine and transmission.

For added challenge this is without the use of a block heater of similar. Might have to look into one of those!

Ha ha. Hope you're AC is working well.

One funny impact of the extreme cold is that it kills any bass on the sound system. Assume that the speakers are too cold to flex. Need to run the heater for at least 30 min before the sub-woofer starts to work.

I've seen a few auxiliary drive belts thrown due to ice build-up on parked engines with the wind blowing into the front of the engine bay, it's a bit like making sure your tent is flank-on to east so you get the morning sun warming you a bit, once you know - you never forget.
Enjoy the physics of cold - I'm one of the weird people that enjoy extremes, high, low, hot or cold, it's all good if you have the right gear.
