None

Was towing a 14ft Brian James car trailer up a small Scottish hillside with an Argocat on the back. Stupidly stopped on the slope which turned out to be sheet ice under a dusting of snow. Trying to pull off resulted in more or less going backwards so Dad had to jump out to reopen the gate we'd just gone through and I was avoiding trying to jack knife the setup. Ended up slightly off the track, one wheel in soft mud, two on the track and one just behind some hard ground next to a boulder.

Was trying to drive out when it let go. Disappointing to see ungreasable as well as being inaccessible for normal maintenance.

Typically I always do these things on the side of a Scottish hillside in the snow. Neighbour managed to get his tractor around via another route and tow it out. Then bent over for LR in Inverness to order a new prop as they can at least get one in next day (hopefully it'll arrive today) and we can go and pick it up and I can get it installed. Ed

Looks to me like a failure due to shock loading, as if you had a wheel spinning that then got some traction... I thought the half shafts were the weak point in the drivetrain but it looks like the prop can be as well..

Good luck with getting a new one and fixing it in this lovely weather... Rolling Eyes Thumbs Up Pete

Well we're on the way to collect the new extortionate genuine prop from Inverness now. Should be okay fixing it despite crippling myself this morning.

Stacked it spectacularly on the road outside the house heading out with the rifle for some early morning deer. Twisted knee quite badly, probably call it a day with stalking on this trip but I should be able to pull myself under the RR to bolt in the new prop. Ed

If you put the right food out at this time of year, they'll come to you Shocked

We have lots of the Censored wandering around outside our deer fence trying to watch the TV. Some of the stags are quite impressive. Thumbs Up

Good luck with the prop-shaft.

Mike

They walk past the house but a little too early to shoot them. Mind you if i get used to the big rifle (only put a handful of shots at home down it so far) I could pick them off on the hill from the house. 300 Win Mag pushes out some heavy rounds very very quickly. Mr. Green

Prop collected and on the way back with it now. I think some Ibuprofen and lunch then I'll tackle it. Ed
