4.4 V8 anyone know where this goes?

Was under the bonnet today, looking at how to fit a check battery indicator and round the battery area was this loose piece of trim.
Does anyone know what it is, or where it goes\/

That's where it's meant to be, clipped in place at both ends. The one pictured attached to the bonnet is incorrect.

I probably removed mine while I changed the battery, but that was five years ago, so I can’t be sure it is correct, but will try moving it when it stops raining
