Twice now when I’ve gone to turn on the ignition, something seems to ‘trip’ and the whole car goes dark as it were. I then have to unhook the battery, do a ‘reset’ (minus lead to positive), and then it’s fine. The last time was after replacing the fuel pump relay. No faults show. So why might this be occurring? 2007 VOGUE TDV8 3.6

Are you sure the leads are properly connected to the battery? The post are tapered and in the past I have found it necessary to tap the caps down onto the posts to ensure properly fitted. John
